Opening Of Classes In The Philippines

June the 7th is the official start of the school season in the Philippines this year. Although it is the rainy season in that part of the world, the Philippine government has not yet changed the official start of classes. The Philippines is hit by typhoons on a yearly basis and so much flooding have happened in the past especially during this season that the Philippine government has to pay attention to this.

With the country's track records when it comes to policy making however, this will not happen in the very near future and since school always started in June, this will not change in the next few years. A sad reality that is overlooked by all those in power.

The only problem is, if they do not change the school months, they will be endangering more lives especially those of children who are going to school in the Metro Manila area.

Traveling to the Philippines during the rainy season (June to September) is not advisable especially if you are going to the Metro Manila area and its nearby provinces.
